Thank you for your interest in the 2000 Research Award Program sponsored by the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. The Foundation was founded in September 1996 as a nonprofit organization. The Foundation's mission is to fund promising research in the field of multiple myeloma to improve patient outcomes and find a cure for the disease. To date, the Foundation has awarded research grants to Northwestern University, the Mayo Clinic, Southampton University (UK), Vrije Universiteit (Brussels), University Hospital (the Netherlands), the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Karolinska Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering, the Toronto Hospital, and the Human Genome Institute in the field of immune therapy. We have begun accepting 2000 Senior Research Award applications. Senior Research Award applications must be received by the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation no later than May 31, 2000. Fellow's research applications will be reviewed in the fall. The deadline date is August 31, 2000. Funding researchThe MMRF is committed to distributing high-value awards which have a significant impact on moving research forward. MMRF Fellow's awards are valued at $40,000 while Senior Research awards range from $75,000-$100,000. Senior Research awards are awarded with the McCarty Cancer Foundation. In 1998, MMRF funded nine high-value research grants to leading myeloma clinicians and researchers all over the world. The MMRF supports efforts in the most promising areas of cancer research.
